  • Left the Bates motel in Blackheath, Blue Mountains and headed for the coast south of Sydney via the Featherdale Wildlife Park a zooish place outside of Sydney where you get to touch Koala and kangaroo. Koala really stink of piss by the way. Like a gents public loo and they sleep all day. Real great animals for a zoo then. Kangaroos were good tho, they let you touch them and feed em. Food was a dollar, I wasn’t paying that.

Drove along the Pacific Drive which we thought would be along the pacific coast but turned out to be through a wooded area so no sight of the sea til we got to Otford lookout which was miles and miles in and $11 for the privilege.

Spent most of the day in the car other than that (am now thoroughly bored with Adele’s 21) until we arrived at the Anchor Bay Motel at Greenwell Point. The room was ok if you like the ‘garage with curtains’ look but at least there was a Bistro to go to… This was like a children’s room on the side of a pub with every light possible turned on and a video juke box playing through a blown speaker. Guests what was playing… Queen – I want to break free. And it was Freddie Mercury day yesterday. I want to go home now. Anyway, the 6 blokes went silent as we walked in, probably because we forgot out waistcoats and taches.

Tea had chips and a fryer involved yet again but Neil managed to get some veg – a corn on the cob. The joy lasted moments.
