Do you remember the BT Viscount from the 80′s?

I had a beige one until march this year until I lost it during a house move, I’m still hoping to find it in a box but I think it probably went to the tip in error. Travesty!

The other week I thought I’d have a look on eBay and found there were lots of em for only a few quid. So I bought one, and then I bought another, both beige. There were apparently a number of different models, with more and less memories, tone dialling as well as old fashioned pulse, amplifiers AND in a number of different colours: grey, White, beige, tan, red, a very rare navy blue and this vivid green model you see naked here. People are selling the stranger colours for £40 on eBay! But I was lucky and got this one for a tenner!

As it’s an early model it only had pulse dial and therefore no star or hash keys. So I decided to have a go at swapping the innards from one of the beige ones with tone dialling. Here it is part way through having been fully cleaned. I now have a fully working, tone dialling, retro 80′s bright green phone!

Just need someone to call me on it now……
