London FM radio station closes Another community radio station is to close due to lack of funds. Link FM in the London Borough of Havering, which won a licence to broadcast on 92.2fm in 2006, will close at midday Monday 28th June. Presenter Nicki Cook told the it was a painful decision to close, saying: “This hasn’t been easy. We have 60 volunteers – some hasn’t been easy. We have 60 volunteers – some who have been with us since inception – and we’ve all put a lot of hours, blood, sweat and tears into this station.”
